Here are the nominees for State Journal-Register Athlete of the Week.

Cooper Burk, Springfield High boys football

The senior forward scored twice as Springfield High beat the Southeast 3-0 in a Central State Eight Conference game at Lee Field on Tuesday.

Catalina Easley, Athens Women’s Golf

The junior earned another top-10 finish in the Class 1A Girls State Finals at the Red Tail Run Golf Course in Decatur. She shot 7 on par 151 for a tie for 10th place after previously taking fifth place last season. Easley shot 6 of 78 on day two with two birdies.

Rori Hanken, Sacred Heart-Griffin Volleyball

The senior middle hitter had 12 kills and three blocks in a 26-24, 23-25, 25-16 Central State Eight Conference win over Chatham Glenwood on Tuesday.

Nolan Herpstreith, Nokomis football

The freshman running back scored three touchdowns, including a 10-yard overtime run, to give Nokomis (3-4) a 28-26 win over Tremont. Nokomis completed a 2-point conversion for an eight-point lead in OT. Tremont scored but did not convert the tie at 2 points. Herpstreith also had 8- and 5-yard TD runs and finished with 38 rushing yards on eight attempts.

Max Lynch, panafoot

The senior quarterback rushed for 318 yards and scored five touchdowns in Pana’s 55-19 win at Greenville in the South Central Conference. Lynch carried the ball 17 times and also completed a pass for a touchdown.

Dane Olson, Havana soccer

The senior running back had touchdown passes for 5 and 78 yards to finish with 130 rushing in a 54-6 Prairie Conference win over Hamilton West Hancock on Friday.

Hannah Parlier, Jacksonville Routt Volleyball

The senior hitter recorded nine kills, 12 digs and two assists to lead the Rockets to a 25-23, 25-17 win over Beardstown on Wednesday. She also had 11 kills in a 25-17, 25-17 win over White Hall North Greene on Tuesday.

Jack Rouse, Carlinville Football

The junior running back rushed for four scores and finished with 136 yards on eight carries to lead Carlinville (4-3) past Litchfield 42-16 in a Central South Conference game on Friday. All of Rouse’s touchdowns came in the second quarter as Carlinville entered halftime with a 35-0 lead. He had TD runs of 1, 6, 61 and 52 yards.

Tug Schwab, Litchfield Boys Golf

The junior shot a final round of 1-under par 71 in the Class 1A Boys Golf State Finals at Prairie Vista Golf Course on Saturday before losing to Joey Trupiano of Effingham St. Anthony in the playoffs. Both finished with a total of 4 of 148 in regulation time.

Peyton Woods, Springfield High golf boys

The senior settled with a tie for fifth place individually at 4 on par 146 to lead the region in the Class 2A Boys Golf State Finals at Weibring Golf Club in Normal this weekend.
