Tipperary football stars of tomorrow shine in Freddie Quinn tournament

Congratulations to the Ardfinnan Under 11 boys who won the Freddie Quinn Memorial title on the morning of Sunday June 26th in a super tournament held at the Ardfinnan GAA ground.
The rain stayed away and the four incredible young teams served up a spectacular feast of football in a closely contested event.
After the round robin matches, Ardfinnan and Moyle Rovers emerged victorious and went on to play the final, with Ardfinnan emerging victorious by the narrowest margin. Clonmel Og and Fethard contested the Shield Final, with Fethard emerging victorious in this one by the narrowest margin as well.
The skill levels, heart, combat, and sheer determination displayed by every player on every team was an absolute delight to behold.

Ardfinnan football team who came out top of the Under 11 tournament Freddie Quinn played recently. The boys were delighted to win their home club tournament played annually in memory of much loved Ardfinnan clubman, the late Freddie Quinn.

The Ardfinnan GAA club would like to thank the following people:
Each player for his fantastic and sporting football;

their parents for taking them away;

clubs and their mentors to prepare boys;

Derek and Martin for refereeing;

club officials for sorting parking, refreshments,

tournament logistics;

Bernie, Siobhan, Caoimhe, Alex, Amelia and Jude Quinn and Pete Savage for representing beloved clubman Freddie Quinn, who would be a proud Ardfinnan man after that football party on his home ground.
