West Division football fanatics are in for a treat as next Sunday promises to be a tantalizing day of football action at Prince Charles Park in Nadi as the premier local football competition enters its seventh round.

Fiji Football Association competitions manager Amitesh Pal has confirmed that six top teams will be in action on Sunday when the Jetsetters take on the hosts in the Digicel Premier League.

“Football fans will be treated to almost six consecutive hours of football this Sunday,” he said.

“We expect the fans to be on the pitch from 11 a.m.

“It will be a busy day which will see a total of three quality football matches played at one venue. Spectators will not have time to leave the Park except for half-time breaks.

“The three-hour kick-off will be spread over approximately six hours. It will be a classic ‘day of football’ as we have three big deals that day at Prince Charles Park.”

The day’s schedule would begin with giant killers Nasinu battling Moshin’s Insulation Nadroga FC at 12pm, hosts and All in One Builders (NZ) coached Kamal Swamy Nadi FC taking on unbeaten Suva FC at 2pm while as the triple bill ends with an expected cracker in the featured game between a top-flight Ba FC taking on Labasa du Nord at 4 p.m.

Tickets will be sold at a fixed price of $10 for adults while children under 12 enjoy free admission.

Doors open at 11 a.m. Meanwhile, in a single Southern derby on the same day at the Uprising Sports Centre, Navua FC host Rewa FC at 3pm.
