We always do a lot of work to promote Saint Francis Hospice fundraising as we are always very impressed with the incredible work they do in our community.

Last week we hosted Sean Erwood, the hospice’s local enlistment officer, and Danny Finch, from the VIP HQ, a unique gymnasium and obstacle course located just down the street in Stapleford Abbotts.

They came to talk about two exciting celebrity soccer matches they hosted at Aveley Football Stadium, raising vital funds for Saint Francis Hospice.

Danny walked us through some of the pre-event training and preparation, Sean went into more detail about the amazing work Saint Francis Hospice does and both of them gave us a sneaky insight into the celebrity lineup, some gossip changing rooms and what to expect in the halftime show.

Essex singer Olly Murs led the HQ Essex VIP team, which included a number of reality TV stars, and the games were started by Sir Trevor Brooking.
