The Cincinnati Bearcat football team begins its fifth game of the season with some success.
This is an understatement.
After defeating Notre Dame on Oct. 2 in South Bend, the Bearcats are ranked # 5 in the AP Poll and # 6 in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Football Coaching Poll.
But the 2021 season is changing this week and it is doing so a day earlier. The Bearcats host the Hall of the American Athletic Conference at 7 p.m. Friday at Nippert Stadium.
This is the first AAC game of the season for the Bearcats as they look to defend their 2020 conference championship. It is also the first conference game the Bearcats have played since announcing their future transfer to the Big 12 Conference.
Temple enters the game 3-2 on the season and 1-0 in the AAC after beating Memphis 34-31 last week.
