Leicester City v Manchester United @King Power Stadium at 3 p.m. on October 16

Leicester and Manchester United managers are under pressure but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer more than Brendan Rodgers. The Foxes haven’t started the season as well as they did the last two and sit 13th with eight points in seven games and are ravaged by injuries to their very important players.

United aren’t hurting, fourth in the table and just two points off the top, but their army of supporters believe they should do better.

Harry Maguire is uncertain while his central partner, Rafael Varane, is excluded. For Rodgers there will be no Wilfred Ndidi while center-backs Jonny Evans and Jannik Vestergaard are in serious doubt. Can the Foxes stop the crisis or will United benefit from another great away trip to the EPL?

Rivers United v Al Hilal Omdurman @Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium at 4 p.m. on October 17

This is a second foray into Africa for Rivers United under Stanley Eguma and they will look to advance to the CAF Champions League group stage for the first time. Their Sudanese opponents are regular activists in Africa and have reached the group stage in the past two seasons.

The two did not have the league to toughen them up for this meeting although Al Hilal had the advantage as the Sudanese League ended on September 27 while Rivers United last played a competitive game on September 19. How will Rivers United deal with the match fitness issue?

Juventus v AS Roma @Allianz Stadium at 7:45 p.m. on October 17th

The Old Lady is in excellent shape with five rebound wins (the fifth in friendly) while Roma’s form has been patchy. But if there’s a match where José Mourinho wins, it’s when he can play the role of the underdog.

Roma are in fourth place with 15 points from seven matches while Juventus are four points away from seventh place with Napoli in the lead with 21 points. Max Allegri has a string of injuries to deal with but he has Arthur, Paulo Dybala available but Alvaro Morata and Adrien Rabiot are unavailable. Will Mourinho lose a third Serie A game by Matchday 8?

Bayer Leverkusen v Bayern Munich @BayArena at 2:30 p.m. on October 17

Their names look alike at first, but that’s really where the comparison ends in terms of pedigree and titles. While Bayern are eternal league champions, with 30 titles; the best Leverkusen has had is five runner-up positions in its 117-year history.

But Sunday’s game sees both teams stuck on 16 points and the two have suffered just one loss in the first seven games.

Leverkusen brags about September’s Player of the Month to Florian Wirtz and the 18-year-old has scored four times and created five assists, having contributed goals every time he has started this season despite Bayern having the ultimate shooter in Robert Lewandowski, who has already scored seven goals in seven league games. Will the story be the same or will it be Leverkusen show that they are ready for a title?
