Treylon Beloney, Hightower: The first-place Hurricanes were fairly balanced on both sides of the ball in a one-sided shutout. Beloney recorded two sacks, three tackles for a loss, a forced fumble and a recovery fumble, while Robert Staton and Dailon Ellis both had two sacks and Jeremy Strawder added a six pick.
Adrien Cormier, Bush: Cormier’s two touchdowns led a rally after a 3-2 halftime deficit as the Broncos remained perfect in District 20-6A. He finished with 144 yards on 23 carries, while Dantonio Hackworth (seven tackles, interception), Brandon Chambers (three TFLs, one sack) and Bryce McDonald (six tackles) helped lead another solid defensive effort.
Taylor Davis, Ridge Point: Davis led the defense with 11 tackles (10 solo) and a rare interception return of 109 yards for a touchdown. The Panthers remained perfect in District 20-6A as Bert Emanuel Jr. had five touchdowns, James Walley Jr. recorded 12 tackles, Mason Hall added eight tackles (three for loss) and Calvin Alexander had two sacks. .
Bryan Domino, Fort Bend Christian: Domino’s three receptions resulted in touchdowns, for a total of 121 yards, as the Eagles recorded their second straight win in the district. Brady Dever threw five more touchdowns, while Sam Leblue scored three times and Marcus Chrétien recorded a record 137 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Adari Haulcy, Marshal: The elder hasn’t had an interception in seven games, but made up for lost time with three against rival Willowridge. He returned two for touchdowns and blocked a kick. His picks brought his career tally to 12, including seven as a junior.
Anthony Njoku, Travis: Njoku was very efficient in a rout of Clements, completing 10 of 13 passes for 222 yards and four touchdowns without interception. Robert Sims caught two of the goals scored, Drew Sissom and Praise Dasaolu adding the others. Njoku also scored twice on the ground, representing the Tigers’ six touchdowns.
Plane Stewart, Elkins: Stewart had nine tackles, seven solo and four loss tackles to help the Knights secure their first win of the season. Christian Peluse-Arce added eight tackles, Demarion Ward made a pick, Dexter Jackson and Taurean Crawford both forced and recovered fumbles, while Isaiah Smith scored twice.
Blaise Tita, Taylor: The Lions lost heartbreak after a Pearland rally, but Tita made an impact with 14 tackles (12 solo), three tackles for a loss and one interception. He leads Taylor with 10 TFLs for the season, making 43 tackles.
Jadeon Webster, Hastings: Webster carried 11 times for 79 yards and the key play of the game, a touchdown with 2:51 to go to clear a 7-6 deficit. The Bears claimed their first victory of the season, limiting Elsik to 187 yards and five completed assists in 25 attempts.
Jamaal Wiley, Stafford: Wiley posted his second 200-yard game of the season to help the Spartans tie their District I Division 12-4A record. He finished with 203 yards and three touchdowns in 27 carries, while Ashton Miller (seven tackles, INT) and Andrew Huff (10 tackles, one sack) led the defense.
Germany Williams, Fulshear: The Chargers lost but kept their fifth opponent 20 points or less. Williams led the effort with 12 tackles (10 solo), three TFLs, one sack and his fourth best forced fumble.
