Jalen Austin, Foster: The Falcons decisively won their first district victory of the season against Milby. Austin scored on 51- and 73-yard passes from JT Fayard, also scoring twice on two-point conversion passes to help with a balanced effort.

Mason Dossett, Ridge Point: Dossett had a team record 112 all-purpose yards, tying Marvin Session for the team leader with three touchdowns. Most of Dossett’s work was on the floor – 12 carries for 104 yards and two scores.

Rayshawn Glover, Lamar Consolidated: The Mustangs couldn’t finish the rally against Humble, but produced offensive fireworks. Glover caught 12 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns, including a 76-yard one that gave LCHS its final lead before halftime. Dylan Garrett rushed for a score and had 405 yards and four touchdowns, two to Jameil Robinson (10 catches, 146 yards).

Ashton Miller, Stafford: Miller led the Spartans with nine solo tackles and one interception as they beat zone-ranked Sealy for their first victory. Quardale Patt, Dylland McClendon and Isaiah Bogerty added picks as part of a big night for the defense.

Ke’Von Misher, Marshall: The Buffalos, undefeated, have managed to diffuse the ball in the last few games.
