The LSU Tigers ended their 2021 regular season with a 27-24 victory over the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday.
Earlier this year, it was announced that head coach Ed Orgeron would not be brought back as head coach of the LSU Tigers. With time running out, Orgeron played his last home game as a touchdown boss for LSU, and he came out on a high note.
Trailing the Aggies 24-20, the Tigers returned to final training to win 27-24. All thanks to an impressive 28-yard pass from quarterback Max Johnson to wide receiver Jaray Jenkins for the touchdown with 20 seconds remaining in regulation.

LSU initially had a 20-10 lead late in the third quarter, but it disappeared after two touchdowns from Texas A&M quarterback Zach Calzada to wide receiver Jalen Preston. But as we’ve seen, the Tigers took advantage of final training to secure one last home win for Orgeron before he left college.

Johnson ended the night completing 22 of 38 passes for 306 yards and three touchdowns. Jenkins caught eight passes for an impressive 169 yards and two touchdowns.
At the end of his coaching tenure, Orgeron left LSU with a “W”.
