EA Sports’ announcement of releasing its first college football game since 2013 has been met with enthusiasm by sports fans across the country. By all accounts, it looks like the company will be able to make a nice profit when the game is finally released.
There are, of course, plenty of licensing hoops to go through, but things appear to be on track for a possible launch in the summer of 2023. That’s according to the president of Collegiate Licensing Co. in an interview with Brandon Marcello from 247Sports on Thursday:
EA Sports aims to launch its new college football video game in the summer of 2023. “That’s hope,” said Cory Moss, CEO of Collegiate Licensing Co. #CFB #EA Sports pic.twitter.com/oQToo4Tfz9

However, EA Sports responded to the tweet that afternoon.
We haven’t announced a specific release schedule for the upcoming EA SPORTS College Football title. We will confirm when to launch at a later date.

While the summer 2023 date was presented by the president of the CLC and not by EA Sports itself, EA has neither confirmed nor denied the information. But college football fans will be eagerly awaiting their first opportunity to play their favorite program in nearly a decade.
