The actual first round of the FA Vase takes place this weekend with three teams from the region participating in the competition.

Saturday’s hosts have won every game they’ve played this season – 12 in the league, two in the Walter C Parson League Cup and one in the Cornwall Senior Cup. Their last game saw Town advance to the next round of the Walter C Parson Cup with a 2-5 away win at Sidmouth Town. The full draw for the third round of this competition is available here.

Wendron United are hoping to win on another milestone day for the football club. This is their first time in the competition, they beat Bishop Sutton 2-1 to enter this round. Their opponent of the day is Bournemouth FC who play in the Wessex League. Wendron has won his last two games with a 6-1 win over Bovey Tracey and a 0-4 away win over Sticker in midweek.

Return to League Action Penryn Athletic takes on Wadebridge at Kernick Road. This is Athletic’s first season in the league and they will be looking to take advantage of other teams not playing due to Vase matches. Their midweek game against Godolphin Atlantic was postponed due to bad weather.

On Sunday, October 24, in the Southwest Regional Women’s League, Helston Athletic Women can claim back-to-back wins when they host Feniton Women. Helston won his last 2-3 away game at Saltash United.
