Andy Dalton and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine are among the best fantasy football pickups of Week 12.
Trying to run your fantasy football team during Thanksgiving week is always tricky with three games on Thursday, meaning guys who might have been allowed to play on Sunday may not be available on Turkey Day. Add to that the fact that the Kansas City Chiefs and Arizona Cardinals are goodbye and that makes life very difficult for fantasy owners trying to put together a winning team.
As we do every week, let’s break down the top five fantasy football picks to help you achieve a win in week 12. All of the percentages in the list are courtesy of Yahoo Sports.
5. Best Fantasy Football Pickups of Week 12 – Chicago Bears WR Marquise Goodwin
Injuries create opportunities in fantasy football and the absence of Allen Robinson in Week 11 opened up many eyes in the Bears’ passing game. Darnell Mooney absolutely had a blast, racking up 16 targets, but the biggest surprise was the emergence of Marquise Goodwin as a fantastic option.
Goodwin was shot eight times and caught four for 104 yards and a touchdown. Fantasy owners have known Goodwin very well from his days with the Buffalo Bills, as his blistering speed can deliver a DeSean Jackson-style performance if Goodwin blows up.
The Bears have a quick turnaround against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day, which makes it very possible that Robinson won’t be able to make it into that game either. If Robinson sits down, it makes sense to hook Goodwin (who is listed in 0% Yahoo Leagues) as a flexible option in a huge clash against the Burntable Detroit secondary.
